THE ACADEMY MCDST BOOT CAMP

The Academy five-day Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) Boot Camp is designed for individuals who require the skills to successfully support end users and to successfully troubleshoot desktop environments running on the Microsoft Windows Operating System.

The MCDST certification is a de facto credential for IT support skills declared by the National Workforce Center for Emerging Technologies Skills Standards for Information Technology. The certification is focused on validating the knowledge and skill sets of help desk technicians, customer support representatives, PC support specialists, technical support representatives, and technical support specialists.                                                                             

 

Prerequisites Before attending this course, students must have:

Basic experience using a Microsoft Windows Operating system such as Windows XP
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Windows accessories, including Internet Explorer
Basic understanding of core operating system technologies including installation and configuration

• Self Test™, Transcender® or MeasureUp Testing Software.
• All Exams are delivered at the Training Center , which is an authorized VUE Testing Center . We will provide a large number of testing stations dedicated to the bootcamp. A test administrator will be available throughout the day, and in the evening, to register you for the tests.
  
  You will receive up to 3 exam vouchers. No additional payment is necessary for the vouchers. The vouchers must be used during the MCSE bootcamp itself and will expire at the end of the bootcamp . Having the extra vouchers at no cost can make all the difference. It makes you more confident and aggressive in test-taking because you are not losing money if you don't pass on your first attempt.
