CIPT1 (Cisco® IP Telephony Part 1)

In this leading-edge Cisco Authorized course, you will learn to fully leverage the use of Cisco's CallManager 4.0 and IP Telephones. By learning to build, manage, and troubleshoot campus and multi-site WAN IP telephony solutions, you can deploy the right network infrastructure to optimize the performance of your network.

You will learn the installation, configuration, operations, and troubleshooting of Cisco IP phones and gateways and explore how to configure Cisco CallManager on a Windows 2000 platform. Discover how to implement IP Telephony technology using the latest version of Cisco CallManager 4.0. Develop the needed skills to implement an IP-based telephone system in a small office or in a large-scale enterprise environment.

CIPT is part of Cisco's AVVID curriculum and prepares you for the IP Telephony Support Specialist certification.

The Academy has enhanced the 5-day hands-on delivery of CIPT by adding extra depth to the existing Cisco-developed hands-on labs as well as adding additional labs to ensure that you get the best hands-on experience possible. Twenty-seven hands-on labs take you from the basics of rolling out an IP Telephony Solution to optimizing your network for the specific demands of IP Telephony.
